Given the introduction of our Observing Evenings has proved very popular, we have decided to expand them, so expect more per year.

However this all depends on weather conditions, so arrangements are likely to be made close to any particular date, or could change even on the day. Consequently having your email and/or mobile phone number (or even land-line) is vital as you can be notified up to the minute.
So if anyone who hasn't already done so, (and of course wants to do so), please send details to: observing@ashastro.co.uk

The Location

Old Elizabethans Memorial Playing Fields, Gypsy Corner, Mays Lane Barnet, EN5 2AG
(Barnet Gate Lane end)

There is plently of parking on site, but unfortunately there is no direct public transport. The nearest is about 1 mile. The closest underground is High Barnet. (See map below)

Those without their own transport could contact one of the Committee - see CONTACT page

In case of inclement weather, the fall-back venue is currently the Queens Arms pub, next to the Everyman Barnet cinema, (was the Odeon), at the junction of Barnet Hill/Great North Road (A1000) and Station Road (A110), New Barnet. (See map below)
